BAPS Ready to Close Out Pennsylvania Modified Season on November 13th

YORK HAVEN, PA – All good things must come to an end.

It’s hard to believe but the 2021 season is just about over. On November 13th, Northeast race fans get one more shot to see their favorite Modified drivers compete when BAPS Motor Speedway presents The Capitol Renegade Sprint Showdown presented by FK Rod Ends. It’s the final event of the season for the 410 Sprint Cars and the final Pennsylvania event for the PA 358-Spec Modifieds.

“It’s sad to see the season come to a close, but we love this event,” stated track general manager Kolten Gouse. “We get the best of the best in the Sprint Car world and all the best in Modified racing. We feel like it’s a must-see double-header.”

Several of the biggest stars in Northeast Modified racing are ready to compete for the $4,000 top prize ($5,000 if 35 cars or more) including defending winner Michael Maresca. Maresca plans to make the trek from Northern New York as he attempts to head back north with the big check.

Billy Pauch Jr., a BAPS Motor Speedway 2021 winner back on May 2nd, hopes to sweep the season at the track as he would be all smiles to end the year on a high note.

Recent New Egypt Speedway winner, Frank Cozze, is ready to compete in the Dave Renaldo No. 410. Cozze loves BAPS as he said, “I wish they raced Modified there weekly, I’d be a regular.”

Look for former champions Jeff Strunk and Rick Laubach to throw their hats into the ring for a chance to cap off 2021 in victory lane.

Tanner VanDoren, fresh off an Eastern States Weekend Sportsman win, is ready to make a go of it in the 358-Modified in search of one more feature win in 2021.

The Modified field is a virtual who’s who in the Northeast with heavyweights Danny Bouc, Kevin Hirthler, and Jared Umbenhauer confirming their attendance as well. Other drivers looking for a possible $4,000 payday include Louden Reimert, Eric Kormann, Billy Lasko, and Craig Whitmoyer.

The 410 Sprint Car division will be competing for a $5,000 top prize. There will also be a 50-Lap Enduro paying $1,000 to the winner. Pit gates open at noon, with the grandstand slated to open at 1 p.m. Racing begins at 3 p.m.

General admission for this event will be $30. Seniors ticket prices are $25, with students 13-17 getting in for $15. Kids 12-under are free. If you can’t make it to the track, you can catch all the action at www.dirttrackdigest.tv or www.sprintcarunlimited.tv .
