BAPS Motor Speedway
BAPS HONORS MEDIA, PHOTOGRAPHERS & PUSH TRUCK DRIVERS
General Manager Kolten Gouse and the rest of the BAPS Motor Speedway management team have focused on making the racing experience better for both fans and competitors.
Now, it’s time to recognize the media. A group Gouse and his staff believe help promote the speedway on a weekly basis and throughout the offseason.
BAPS Motor Speedway owner Scott Gobrecht and Gouse have put together a Media Appreciation Dinner in conjunction with the York Excavating Kevin Gobrecht Classic, which will be held on September 20th. It will feature a catered dinner before the event to honor the media, photographers and push truck drivers on the 2025 credential list and will be sponsored by Sprintcarunlimited.TV & Dirt Track Digest.
“I think it’s important to show our appreciation to the media for their efforts throughout the season,” Gouse said. “If not for photographers, writers, and people who talk about BAPS Motor Speedway, we wouldn’t be able to have a successful event.
“Push truck drivers will also be a part of it. They give their time weekly to the speedway to make our events run smoothly. If not for them, we wouldn’t be able to host any of our events throughout the season.”
A media tent will be in front of the pit area from 3 p.m. to 5 the day of the event. Food will be served, and several drivers will be on site to answer questions from the media. Anyone on the credential list is welcome to grab food and drinks during the night.
“This is our way of saying thank you to all of the people who make BAPS Motor Speedway successful,” Gouse said. “We hope everyone comes out and gets an opportunity to see some good racing while also enjoying some food, drink, and time with drivers.”
