CHILI COOK OFF HEATS UP BAPS NEWS YEARS EVENT
YORK HAVEN PA — The 2nd Annual Chili Cook off at BAPS during John Krall's New Years event will surely heat up the local community once again on Wednesday December 31.
Nearly 400 people showed up to last year's Chili Cook-Off & New Year’s event, and each chef competed with their own secret spice blends, local ingredients and a touch of friendly rivalry.
Those half a dozen competitors, ranging from local restaurants to different organizations, are all on the same mission to serve up the title of "best chili" and to feed those who are hungry.
This year’s event which will pay out a hefty $500 top prize and a record 6-foot-tall trophy will gather a larger portion of competitors and with the activities scheduled at this year's event, a record attendance is expected according to speedway officials.
“We are excited to build this event and bring something cool and exciting to the local community. “Last year was a trial run and we wanted to take our time but this year we are diving in and bringing a lot of activities for all ages” Said General Manager Kolten Gouse.
The activities for John Krall’s New year's event will take place from 8pm-12:30am and will feature a chili cook off event, activities for all ages including face painting, petting zoo, crafts, food vendors, fire pit, cornhole and will have a real sprint car dropped for new year's with a huge fireworks display.
The coolest part is that it is 100% Free to the community!
Chili Cook off competitors can register at the speedway office or can pull the form off the speedway website.
