Smokey Frye Tribute Goes to Coleby Frye
Piper Advertising Night delivered an unforgettable evening at the track as Colby Frye put on a dominant performance in the Smokey Frye Tribute Race. Frye led all 20 laps from start to finish, showcasing speed and control as he honored the legacy behind the special event with a commanding victory.
Behind him, Dawson Walls raced to a strong second-place finish, followed by Chad Smith in third. Tommy Slanker crossed the line in fourth, while Skylar Taschek rounded out the top five.
In the Super Sportsman feature, Scott Dellinger made his move early and never looked back. Starting fourth, Dellinger worked his way past Matt Ondek on lap 6 and took control of the race, leading the remainder of the distance to score an impressive victory.
Kenny Edkin put on one of the drives of the night, charging from 16th starting position all the way to a strong second-place finish. Matt Ondek held on for third, followed by Troy Hockenberry in fourth, while Timmie Barrick completed the top five after a solid run.
Dave Deitz was credited with the Extreme Stocks feature win after both Evan Foust and Brian Walls were disqualified, handing Deitz his first victory of the season. In Limited Stock action, Andrew Ricketts topped a strong 23-car field to capture his first feature win of the year, capping off an exciting night of racing.
