BAPS Motor Speedway
Deitz and Locke highlight Sunday night Winners.
Ra Smith & Sons Collision Night brought a packed house to Baps Motor Speedway as 31 410 sprint cars and 23 358 sprint cars signed in for an exciting night of racing action. Fans were treated to one of the best battles of the season in the 410 sprint car feature, as Brent Marks controlled the opening 22 laps after taking command early in the event.
With just eight laps remaining, third-starting Chase Dietz found momentum through turns three and four and made the winning move on Marks to take over the top spot. Dietz went on to lead the final eight laps and captured back-to-back feature victories. Marks settled for second while Logan Rumsey completed the podium in third. Freddie Rahmer and Cameron Smith rounded out the top five finishers in an impressive 31-car field.
In the Mickleys Orchard Racing for Outreach 358 sprint car feature, Derek Locke put together a dominant performance by wiring all 25 laps for the victory. Cody Fletcher chased Locke to the finish in second while Brock Hammaker crossed the line in third. Wyatt Hinkle finished fourth with Tyler Rutherford completing the top five after another competitive night of 358 sprint car action.
