Since 1954, BAPS Motor Speedway has been serving up some of the closest and most exciting racing in central Pennsylvania. What started as a dream of founder Bud Bricker has grown into a cherished experience for generations of families, friends and racing lovers from all over the country.
With a legacy of nearly seven decades, BAPS Motor Speedway has become a trusted name in the racing industry and more importantly a staple in the local community.

Since 1954 the speedway has weathered and withstood several changes over the years from name changes, divisions, schedules and some way and somehow it has always risen above all odds.
Over the next few weeks, we will take our fans, teams and partners on a journey on how the speedway has stood the test of time and risen from the ashes.
Journey #1:
The photo from May 1954 includes what is the front stretch and turns 3 & 4 of Susquehanna Speedway as track workers and what could be a very young Donnie Bricker (owner of Bricker's French fries) looking on as they prepare for a racing event.
