McCarthy Tire Cashes in on $10,000 Advertising Contest
YORK HAVEN, Pa.: The management team at BAPS Motor Speedway is known for coming up with unique ways to promote racing and the surrounding facility.
That was how the $5 Eagle Air Aviation Keystone Nationals was born. It’s a way to bring new people to the racetrack at an affordable price for a 410 Sprint Car-Extreme Stock program while giving back to fans.
General Manager Kolten Gouse added to the promotion with a second initiative. Any company that purchased 100 tickets to the Keystone Nationals would receive an entry into a drawing for $10,000 worth of advertising at BAPS Motor Speedway and Mcgrewbid Motoplex … and now, we have a winner.
In a drawing that was held earlier this week, McCarthy Tire Service was selected as the winner and will receive the special prize. The pool of entrants included seven businesses that haven’t advertised at the speedway in the 10 years since owner Scott Gobrecht took over the speedway.
“This was a great opportunity to try and get more businesses and interest in dirt-track racing,” Gouse said. “It was also community based, in that it gave a local business a chance to be recognized at an affordable cost.
“One of the major goals at BAPS Motor Speedway is to bring new people into the sport, whether it’s fans, competitors, or businesses. It takes everybody pulling in the same direction to make a speedway and the sport successful, and I want to thank everyone who is involved with these promotions.”
