50 Year Promotion Highlights "FREE Ladies Pass" for Sprint Car Race.
RA Smith & Sons Collision presents Women in Motorsports Night on Sunday, May 17, bringing an exciting evening of racing and recognition to the track. Fans will be treated to a thrilling program featuring both 410 Sprint Cars and 358 Sprint Cars, showcasing some of the best talent in the region.
This special event continues to shine a spotlight on the growing impact of women in the motorsports industry, both on and off the track. From drivers to crew members and supporters, the night celebrates the contributions and achievements of women who help drive the sport forward.
Treyco Manufacturing will once again sponsor the popular “Free Lady’s Pit Pass” for each driver in each class, allowing female guests a unique behind-the-scenes experience in the pit area. This initiative adds an interactive element to the evening and gives fans a closer connection to the teams and cars.
The idea for this event traces back nearly 50 years to National Promoter of the Year Jack Gunn, whose vision for recognizing women in motorsports finally came to life last season with the inaugural event. That first night was a major success and laid the foundation for this now-anticipated annual tradition.
“Jack Gunn was ahead of his time, recognizing the important role women play in supporting their drivers and this sport as a whole. When I approached the Stehman family about bringing this tradition back, they didn’t hesitate—they were all in to help make it happen.” Said Kolten Gouse
Fans will have the opportunity to meet an outstanding lineup of female drivers, including Brielle Stern (Winged 600 Micro), Pressley Almoney (Extreme Stock), Shannon Slaughter (602 Crate Sportsman Modified), Ashley Cappetta (358 Sprint Car), Olivia Thayer (East Coast 360 Sprint Car), and Brie Hershey (410 Sprint Car). Each driver will have their race car on display and will be signing autographs from 4:30 p.m to 5:30 p.m., giving fans a chance to connect with some of the sport’s rising and established talents.
In addition to the drivers, special guests Ms. Motorama Madison Deal and Ms. Racing Xtravaganza Maddie Tyson will also be in attendance. Their presence adds to the celebration, highlighting the many roles' women play in motorsports both on and off the track.
